On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 3.037 billion as compared to PKR 2.434 billion reported on Thursday, an increase of 25 percent. The number of lots traded was 14,494. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,722. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 1.615 billion, a 9 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 1.386 billion), silver (PKR 35 million) and cotton (PKR 1.3 million).
