Rates move both ways on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Punjab gained Rs 125 to Rs 10250 and the Moong Afghan was up by Rs 250 to Rs 12250, Guwar Sindh maintained overnight level at Rs 5600-5700 and Guwar Punjab was at Rs 5000-5200, they said. On the seeds side, Castor seeds Sindh was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2600 and castor seeds Lakhra shed Rs 50 to Rs 2750, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type picked up Rs 50 to Rs 1600 while the best quality held the overnight level at Rs 1650, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams and rice fronts, they said.
