On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 2.279 billion as compared to PKR 1.88 billion reported on Wednesday, an increase of 21 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 70 percent to 12,536 from 7,375. PMEX Commodity Index increases by 0.53 percent and closed at 2,743. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 1.709 billion, a 30 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 543 million), silver (PKR 24 million) and cotton (PKR 2.6 million).
