ATC grants interim bail to Pervaiz Khattak, Shaukat Yousafzai

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad Wednesday granted interim bail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak and provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai in a case regarding attack on the Parliament House and Pakistan Television during the 2014 sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The KP chief minister and the minister appeared before ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi and filed appeals for their pre-arrest bail, which was accepted by the court.

The court directed the accused to submit surety bonds of Rs 100,000 each and ensure their attendance on next date of hearing.

The court summoned Pervaiz Khattak on April 23 and Shaukat Yousafzai on April 25.
