GB chief secretary directs for solid steps to hold ‘Khunjerab tour de cycle race'  

GILGIT: Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan Dr Kazim Niaz on Tuesday underlined the need for taking more measures for promoting extra-curricular activities among youth for their healthy personality development.

He also directed concerned officials to take solid measures for successful conduct of 'Tour De cycle race Khunjerab' in order to promote soft image of the country.

He said that sports activities guaranteed establishment of peace and government was utilizing all available resources to support sports activities across the province.

He expressed these words while awarding best performance certificates among officials of GB Super League here , adding that present government has determined to explore natural beauty of GB in every forum and would leave no stone unturned for promotion of sports activities.

He appreciated the efforts of Tourism Department for holding of sports events adding new talent had been raised from Sarfaranga Car Rally to GB Volleyball League.

Dr Kazim assured youth for providing them best healthy activities for good use of capabilities.
