Pakistan T20 specialist Sohail Tanvir has expressed his excitement over getting retained by the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise Amazon Warriors for the third season.

“I played the last two seasons with them and enjoyed my time,” said Pakistan’s seam bowler in an interview with the CPL.

Speaking about the strengths of his side, Tanvir, who was grabbed by the franchise in the $160,000 salary bracket, said, “We have got good communication and good relationships with the management and the owner. We don’t have big names in the team — even last year we didn’t have big names — but the reason we do well is that we gel very well and play as a team.”

The three time finalist Warriors remain to grab a CPL title. Tanvir, their top performer, believes that the inability of his side to cope with pressure in final stages of the game had left them without a title.

“My feeling is maybe we panic when it comes to crucial stages… but I think we have the capability and we will try to win it this time, somehow or the other,” the all-rounder said.

Last year, Tanvir finished the CPL season as the leading wicket-taker, with a best of five for three in a game against Barbados.
