KE cannot run from its responsibility by blaming SSGC: Farooq Sattar

Ridiculing K-Electric's (KE) attempt of blaming the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for not providing enough gas, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM-P) former convener Farooq Sattar said that KE has disappointed a lot.

Addressing media on Thursday, Sattar said, "The KE cannot run away from its responsibility by blaming SSGC. If there is no gas, it should buy furnace oil." Sattar added that the City of Lights was facing 12 hours of load shedding in a day and KE being private sector, people had expected it to perform better.

He further said that all the work should have been done in the winters so as to be prepared for today. "The situation today is worse than before," he added.

The City of Lights is getting darker day by day as load shedding hours keep increasing across Karachi. The KE has come under a lot of criticism as the citizens are suffering due to the blame game between SSGC and the power utility. To make matters worse, even the institutions where final board exams are being held are facing power outages, making situation difficult for students.

Many people have taken to Twitter and targeted Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz to vent out their frustration.
