To increase exports we need new export industries. Indian exports took off when India scrapped all permissions to set up new industries, and deregulated its industrial sector completely in 1991. Pakistan still has horrendous red-tape required to set up and run new industries. This needs to change drastically if we are going to actually encourage new investors, both local and foreign.
