KARACHI: Anti Smuggling team of Customs Enforcement Collectorate Karachi has recovered smuggled goods worth over Rs170 million in separate raids in Karachi.
According to the details, the team has conducted a raid in Orangi Town Karachi and recovered foreign origin 217 Bundles of Blankets weighted 14000 kilograms approximately.
The value of seized goods is estimated to Rs23 million. Consequently, an FIR has been lodged and further investigation is in progress.
In another raid, the department has seized 8 smuggled luxury vehicles and other miscellaneous smuggled goods including cooking oil, betel nuts and sweet supari etc. The market value of confiscated goods is estimated over Rs150 million.
