PESHAWAR: Muhammad Naseer, Director General, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, has said that there is no doubt that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a wealth of trade and commerce that needs attention, development of trade and business is not the work of a single institution.

“We all have a common mission because this is the sector that has to pave the way for the future of the country and stabilize the economy,” He expressed these views during a meeting with officials and representatives of various chambers from across the province during a visit to the FPCCI Peshawar office.

The meeting was also attended by SAARC Chamber of Commerce Vice President, former Senator Haji Ghulam Ali and FPCCI Regional Coordinator Sartaj Ahmed Khan and other responsible officers of TDP. In the meeting, Sartaj Ahmad Khan and Haji Ghulam Ali apprised TDP DG Muhammad Naseer of the difficulties faced by the people involved in business and trade in the province, especially in the provincial capital Peshawar.

The participants said that there is no shortage of talent and natural resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but due to non-compliance with modern requirements of modern times, many sectors have not developed as they should have. Speaking on the occasion, DG Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Muhammad Naseer said that every effort would be made to resolve the issues of traders here on priority basis and by raising a number of issues in the meeting of the Joint Economic Commission. They will be solved.
