LAHORE: This refers to the report titles “LNG complications”, published in Daily Business Recorder on January 12, 2022.
In this context, SNGPL would like to clarify that it fully supports Government of Pakistan’s effort to mitigate prevailing energy crisis in the country. As such the company has been cooperating with all the stakeholders.
With regard to the part of story claiming that issues are pending with SNGPL owing to its fear of losing consumer, it is apprised that there are no pending issues on part of SNGPL and the company has successfully resolved all issues with M/s Energas. It is pertinent to mention that currently only gas specifications BTUs related issues is pending.
It is further submitted that LNG suppliers want to import high BTU LNG while GPP’s want BTU value to maximum up to 1000 BTU/SCF.
