Australian shares are set to open higher on Monday, extending three weeks of gains as Victoria state looked to further ease COVID-19 curbs on hopes of attaining an 80% vaccination rate during the week.
The local share price index futures rose 0.4%, a 0.5-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close. The benchmark closed flat on Friday.
Markets in New Zealand were closed for a holiday.
