KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has appreciated the services of the outgoing chairman Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) Khalid Mahmood.
Mahmood called on the CM at a farewell meeting where he presented the annual report of 2020-21 to Chief Minister Sindh.
SRB posts over 52pc growth in its May collection
While appreciating the performance of SRB during the last five years, the CM said that the board under Mahmood has achieved better revenue growth as compared to other taxation authorities, adding that Mahmood successfully carried out reforms in the provincial taxation system, which was also praised by the business community.
He said that SRB has witnessed a 13% growth in tax collection.
Mehmood took the charge as chairman of SRB in FY 2016-17 when the revenue collection of the board stood at Rs 62 billion, and now the SRB revenue collection has soared to Rs128 billion.
