Carbon black: FBR reduces duty drawback

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reduced customs duty drawback on the export of carbon black, ie, from 2.86 percent of the FoB value to 0.53 percent of the FoB value.

The FBR has issued SRO1171(I)/2021 to amend standard duty drawback notification SRO212(I) /2009, here Tuesday. According to the notification, the basic raw material used in the manufacturing of carbon black is carbon oil.
