KARACHI: Savvy, Pakistan's freelance marketplace, has announced an agreement with Payoneer (NASDAQ: PAYO), the commerce technology company powering payments and growth for the new global economy.
The cooperation between the firms aims to facilitate Savvy's freelancers in receiving payments smoothly from all over the world. All Freelancers, known as 'Specialists' on Savvy are vetted through an application process. Now they can simply sign up for a Payoneer account during this process through an integration between the two companies.
Savvy co-founders Aizaz Nayyer and Adeel Abid described the partnership as further proof that the company was fully committed to providing opportunities for local talent and went on to say that it would allow them to pursue international expansion. According to the founders the Savvy app has already crossed 20,000 downloads since it's launch three months ago and they are expecting their partnership with Payoneer to lead to a further spike in this number.
The market place connects skilled Pakistani free lancers with people looking for services across 150 + categories/sub categories including graphics, web development, content writing and digital marketing.-PR
