KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued office and business timing for the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1442 A.H.
During the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1442 A.H., the State Bank of Pakistan will observe office hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with prayer break from 2:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The office timing for Friday will be 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. without break. These timing will also be followed by all banks, DFIs and MFBs.
SBP has further advised the banks and MFBs to observe minimum business (banking) hours for public dealing from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. without break for Monday to Thursday and the timing for Friday will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. without break.
However, except Friday, banks and MFBs may observe extended business (banking) hours for public dealing from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with 15 minutes prayer break) at their branches situated in major cities, business centers, commercial markets & hubs or ports etc.
After the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the above timings will automatically be reverted to pre-Ramadan timings.
