KARACHI: Patron-in-Chief of the United Business Group (UBG), S. M. Muneer, has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should consult business community representatives on formulation of economic policies to make the country economically strong.

He said despite the rapid spread of Covid-19, Pakistan’s exports were somewhat better than those of some other countries in the region.

Talking to the media at a dinner hosted by Crown Group chairman Farhan Hanif, he said political tensions in the country must now end so that Pakistan could become a strong economic nation in the region.

Former president of the Federation Zubair Tufail, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Khalid Tawab, Ikhtiar Beg, Noor Ahmad Khan and Shakeel Dhingra were also present on the occasion.

He said, “We are happy that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has postponed the long march.”

Any long march would cause harm to the country’s economy in the current situation.

All the political parties should raise their voices in the assemblies and in the Senate, he said.
