LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Siraj ul Haq has announced to resist the privatization policy of the government aiming at depriving thousands of government employees from bread and butter.
According to media cell of JI at Mansoora, he said the PTI manifesto made tall claims to bring about stability in the national institutions and public utilities, reminding the prime minister and his team’s criticism as opposition members on the former governments’ privatization policy.
But, he said, the PTI after coming into power not only followed footsteps of its predecessors, it proved more incompetent than the previous governments. He said the JI would not allow the government to sell the key national institutions. He said instead of creating job opportunities for millions of jobless youth, the PTI was bent upon snatching the livelihood of the working people.
The JI also criticized the rulers’ silence on Kashmir cause, saying it seemed the government had completely forgotten the sacrifices rendered by thousands of Kashmiris to get freedom from India and become the part of Pakistan.
He reiterated the demand that the Supreme Court of Pakistan should order the inquiry of Broadsheet scandal as the people were not ready to trust on the government claims to conduct the fair investigation. He also demanded the government ensure corona vaccination to every Pakistani.
Meanwhile, he submitted a calling attention notice in the Senate Secretariat on ineffective Council of the Islamic Ideology (CII). The senator, through his calling attention notice, expressed concerns over ineffectiveness of the CII since retirement it’s chairman and other members. Senator Sirajul Haq said that CII, which was an important constitutional institution, was currently incomplete and ineffective.
