Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurating a hostel at Cadet College in Isakhel tehsil said that the government is making all-out efforts to uplift the underdeveloped areas of the country.

Imran Khan during his visit, he will launch work on the first phase of Knowledge City that will be established at the Numl University.

The phase will complete by year 2023 to accommodate 800 students and 50 faculty members.

Major construction work on the city is expected to be completed by the year 2027. The knowledge city will include academic blocks, libraries, technology parks, business centers, dairy farms, primary and secondary schools, sports facilities, a hospital, shopping centers, hotels, and housing colony for staff, faculty and students.

After inaugurating a hostel building at Cadet College of Isakhel, the prime minister while addressing to the college students said, “We are focusing on the provision of basic civic amenities of life to the people of these areas including health and education infrastructure.”

He said a new system has been evolved to ensure the presence of doctors in the hospitals of far-flung areas.

“I always thought, when I would be in power, the first thing I’m going to do is to provide all the basic necessities,” said Imran.

“First thing, I met all the officials, including commissioner and deputy commissioner today and I’m very happy that water issue will be resolved,” he said. “Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is here, and we have made a mechanism, which will ensue the availability of teachers and nurses in the tehsil.”

“Now you would not have to wait for doctors or teachers to come from other cities,” said Khan. “Other backward areas are also facing similar problems and we would address them one by one.”

He called Inspector General (IG) and other police officials to ensure that people would get better treatment in police stations.

Furthermore, Khan emphasised the need of knowledge economy terming it imperative to put the country on the path of progress and development.

He was optimistic that Pakistan will emerge as a strong country in the comity of nations and the dream of Naya Pakistan will come true.
