Punjab's coronavirus tally has reached 78,956 after it reported 1,216 new coronavirus cases.
On Thursday, the province conducted 8,521 tests. Till now, 518,026 people have been tested for the virus in the province. The current testing capacity in Punjab stands at 17,320.
Punjab reported 35 more deaths due to the virus. 1,819 people have so far passed away from coronavirus. Punjab has reported the highest number of deaths in Pakistan.
Punjab govt extends smart lockdown in Lahore for three days
In the past 24 hours, 5,520 patients have also recovered from the disease. 33,786 patients have recovered from the novel disease so far.
