Punjab govt extends smart lockdown in Lahore for three days

The Government of Punjab extended on Wednesday smart lockdown in Lahore for three days.

In a tweet today, provincial government spokesperson Musarrat Cheema said that they have seen positive result due to the smart lockdown. "To access the situation better we have extended lock down for next 3 days," she said.

According to the notification, there will be 'controlled entry and exit in the areas of district Lahore identified as hotspots of COVID-19 disease with effect from midnight between July 1 till 9pm, July 3'.

During the lockdown, no markets, restaurants, private and public offices, will be closed in these areas, the notification said.

Punjab has recorded 76,262 coronavirus cases and 1,762 deaths.
