LETTER: According to a Washington Post report, US intelligence agencies have found that Russian bounty offers to Taliban militants led to the deaths of several American soldiers. Another US newspaper, The New York Times, separately reported that US intelligence officials believe at least one American military death stemmed from the bounties, citing two officials briefed on the matter.

Both Russia and Taliban have rejected these reports while President Trump has said that he was never informed about the alleged Russian bounty offers. What this development actually mean when special representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad has already embarked on travel to Pakistan, Qatar and Uzbekistan?
