(Karachi) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khwaja Asif slammed Prime Minister Imran Khan after he said former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had been "martyred".

Khan made the comment in National Assembly as he was describing the history of Pakistan's troubled relations with the US since American special forces killed bin Laden in 2011 in Abbottabad. "The Americans came to Abbottabad and killed Osama bin Laden. Martyred him," Khan said.

Addressing the NA session on Thursday after PM's speech, Asif said: "Imran Khan called Osama bin Laden shaheed. Bin Laden brought terrorism to our lands."

He added, "Osama bin Laden was a terrorist and the PM calls him shaheed." He stated, "Imran Khan has fiddled with history, declaring Osama bin Laden as a martyr today."

The PML-N leader said that the country will not achieve prosperity till Imran Khan is its PM.
