HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks surged to another record on Tuesday, while Shanghai also enjoyed strong gains as Asian traders built on a global rally fuelled by optimism over corporate earnings.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.66 percent, or 537.29 points, to finish at 32,930.70.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.29 percent, or 45.14 points, to 3,546.50. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.36 percent, or 7.08 points, to 1,950.99.
