Tributes paid to Professor Dr Abul Khair Kashfi

Glowing tributes were paid to great writer, academician and intellectual, Professor Dr Abul Khair Kashfi, at a memorial meeting organised by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) in collaboration with Pakistan Academy of Letters here Wednesday.
The literary reference held on the occasion that was attended by Vice Chancellor, Karachi University, (KU), Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqi, Chancellor Sir Syed University Z A Nizami, Chairman, Urdu Dictionary Board, Dr Farman Fatehpuri and Engr Mohammed Zakir Ali Khan.
The speakers recalled the services of Professor Abul Khair Kashfi as a great educationist and academician. Dr Pirzada Qasim said that Professor Abul Khair Kashfi used to consider every one's academic and literary training as his supreme duty, and he rendered services in the field by discarding all discriminations.
Recalling his relations with Professor Abul Khair Kashfi, Chairman Urdu Dictionary Board, Dr Farman Fatehpuri described him an ideal person from academic and creative point of view. He said he had such spiritualism in his self, which would force the others to follow noble human values. Addressing the literary reference, Chancellor SSUET, Z A Nizami said that Professor Abul Khair Kashfi played a vital role while managing the "Seerat Chair" of Sir Syed University.
