Pakistan win at the MCG against Australia was not only crucial for the nation to make it into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, it also sparked life to the embarrassingly one sided series.
With the One Day International (ODI) contest now leveled, the visitors could be sniffing an upset series win against the formidable hosts. One may assume that winning the series sounds a far-fetched idea, but Pakistans left-arm spinner Imad Wasim believes otherwise.
"I personally believed before coming to this tour that we could beat any team in the world in shorter formats, because our team combination is very good," said Imad, quoted Cricbuzz.
"Number eight in the world ... that's the ranking, but our side is better than that If you don't believe you can beat any opposition, there's no point coming here. We are here to beat them. We are here to play good cricket. We are here to fight," he added.
Pakistans victory at MCG was their first against the hosts on their home soil in 12 years. The visitors that would be without their regular skipper Azhar Ali, would be eyeing to repeat the same in the third ODI at the Perth on Thursday.
