Earthquake jolts different parts of Karachi

KARACHI: Strong earthquake tremors shook buildings in different parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar and adjoining areas of the city on Tuesday. According to the local media, magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 3.6 on Richter scale.

The jolts were severe and people rushed out of their homes and other buildings. Students of University of Karachi and NED University of Science of Technology rushed out of their classes to safer locations.

People immediately took to social networking sites to describe the scene.
