imageISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday resumed the Panama Papers Leaks Case hearing against the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa at the beginning of the hearing said that he should not had given an observation about Articles 62 and 63 of the constitution and that he is sorry about it and withdraws it.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTIs) lead counsel Naeem Bukhari continued with his arguments. He said that finance Minister Ishaq Dar's statement on money laundering was available in court records. "In September 1998 the report was sent to the Chief Justice and National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The report had been compiled by former FIA director Rehman Malik," stated Bukhari.

Justice Ejaz Afzal asked Bukhari to confine the case to the London Flats. "What is the point of bringing in Ishaq Dar? Is he among the respondents?" he asked. "Explain why NAB should have filed an appeal in the Hudaibya case."

When Justice Azmat Saeed Skaikh asked who had prepared the report Naeem said that former Director FIA Rahman Malik did that to which Justice Shaikh said that isnt Rahman Maliks name is also listed in the Panama Papers.

Bukhari was asked by the bench to satisfy the court other than giving address to the nation. The Panama case is limited to London flats; do not stray out of your perimeter, the court told Bukhari.

SC larger bench comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Hasan in remarks during the hearing said that the papers submitted by the Sharif family are incomplete and their lawyers have to answer several questions.

Earlier, SC had directed Sharif family to explain contradiction in statements to defend itself in Panama Papers case.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, Jamaat Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq and Pakistan Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed were also present in the court.

The bench later adjourned the hearing till Wednesday.
