The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has given duty drawback on the export of seven different types of polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn and other products from May 24-June 30, 2004.
The CBR has amended standard SRO 412(I)/2001 through an SRO 325(I)/2004 issued here on Tuesday.
The CBR has also extended duty drawback facility to the exporters of other items, including lamp holders and polypropylene.
The duty drawback on the export of polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 80 percent polyester and 20 percent viscose) would be Rs 8.68 per kilogram; polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 65 percent polyester and 35 percent viscose), Rs 7.78 per kilogram; polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 50 percent polyester and 50 percent viscose), Rs 6.89 per kilogram; polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 30 percent polyester and 70 percent viscose), Rs 5.69 per kilogram; polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 20 percent polyester and 80 percent viscose), Rs 5.09 per kilogram; polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 35 percent polyester and 65 percent viscose), Rs 5.99 per kilogram and duty drawback on the export of polyester-viscose staple fibre blended yarn (containing 70 percent polyester and 30 percent viscose) would be Rs 8.08 per kilogram.
The CBR has also slashed duty drawback on the export of different types of tea from May 24, 2004. Amendment has been made in the SRO 415(I)/2001 through an SRO 330(I)/2004.
The duty drawback on the export leaf tea would be Rs 17.62 per kilogram; dust tea, Rs 11.44 per kilogram; leaf and dust tea mixture, Rs 15.15 per kilogram; tea bags (2 grams), Rs 6.03 for 100 tea bags; green tea plain, Rs 9.06 per kilogram; green tea flavoured, Rs 14.53 per kilogram and duty drawback on the export of green tea bags (1.5 grams) would be Rs 4.89 for 60 tea bags.
The CBR has also given duty drawback on the export of polypropylene used in the packing of blended or cotton yarn being packed in pallet packing wounded on cones per 100 lbs. yarn from May 24, 2004.
The CBR has amended standard SRO 412(I)/2001 through an SRO 327(I)/2004.
According to the notification, the duty drawback on the export of polypropylene used in the packing of blended or cotton yarn would be Rs 1.25 per 100 lbs.
The CBR has given duty drawback on the export of all types of lamp holders, ceiling rose and pin plug from May 24, 2004. A notification SRO 332(I)/2004 has amended standard SRO 414(I)/2001 to notify the decision.
According to the notification, the duty drawback on the export of lamp holders would be 3.63 percent of the fob value; ceiling rose, 3.13 percent of the fob value and duty drawback on the export of pin plug would be 2.74 percent of the fob value.
The CBR has also amended standard SRO 415(I)/2001 through an SRO (I)/2004 to extend duty drawback on the export of melamine resin and other products from May 24, 2004.
The rebate would be Rs 21.4 per kilogram on the export of melamine resin; Rs 4.73 per kilogram, alkyd resin 70 percent solution; Rs 4.64 per kilogram, unsaturated polyester general purpose; Rs 4.71 per kilogram, unsaturated polyester button grade; Rs 1.52 per kilogram, fortified rosin; Rs 4.09 per kilogram, cationic softener; Rs 13.88 per kilogram, non-ionic softener; Rs 4.20 per kilogram, silicone antifoam; Rs 2.16 per kilogram, acrylic emulsion; Rs 1.07 per kilogram, textile binder and Rs 3.12 per kilogram would be the rate of duty drawback on the export of fluorescent brightening agent.
