KARACHI: C.V Al-Rawadah carrying containers was allotted berth at Qasim International Container Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile three more ships M.V CF Potentia, C.V Maersk Hart Fort and M.T Silver Minika with Containers, project cargo and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day.
Berth occupancy was managed at the port at forty seven percent on Monday where a total of seven ships namely C.V AL-Rawadah, C.V Hogo Schulte, M.V Crystal Galaxy, M.V Malakand, M.T As Olivia, M.T Al Dasma and M.T GSW Fighter were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, canola seeds, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operation were carried out efficiently at the prot where a cargo volume of 76,030 tonnes, comprising 60,584 tonnes imports and 15,446 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,666 containers (TEUs) (982 TEUs imports & 684 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours.
Oil Tanker 'Al-Dasma' sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while three more ships C.V Al-Rawadah, M.T GSW Fighter and M.T As Olivia are expected to sail on same day.
Four ships, C.V Maersk Hart Ford, M.V CF Potentia, M.T Bunga Akasa M.T Lime Galaxy carrying containers, project cargo, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-3, LCT and EVTL respectively on Tuesday.
While another ship M.V Jahar Express scheduled to load Cement is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Qasim on Wednesday.
