imagePESHAWAR: Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Riaz Khattak has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should grant the same facilities to the existing industries which were approved by it in its new industrialization policy.

While chairing a meeting at FPCCI regional office on Wednesday, he said KP Chief Minister should revisit its new industrial policy and grant the same incentives of concession of new industrial loans and tariff on electricity for the level playing field.

However he hailed the decision of the KP government for formulation of new industrial policy which was need of the hour and it would help for the revival of industrialization in KP.

He said waiver of NOC for setting up new industries, grant of sizeable concession on industrial loans and 25 percent subsides on purchase of land and electricity tariff is a good step which may help to achieve the economic targets.

Chairman FPCCI's Regional Standing Committee on Horticulture Exports, Ahmad Jawad said a commitment of Pakistan Tehreek e-Insaf and KP government towards industrialization will help to generate the required economic activity in the province.

He told it was high time that KP government should also provide due attention to its horticulture and agriculture sector which is a lifeline of its economy.

As KP has immense potential in the exports of fresh fruits and vegetables but unfortunately due to lack of infrastructure, it is hampering the potential of exports.

He suggested that the provincial planning commission may provide required PSDP projects for the revival of horticulture sector in its upcoming budget.

Close liaison between KP planning commission and FPCCI is much needed for the transformation of agriculture industry, he added.
