Six day polio campaign starts

BAHAWALPUR: A Six-day polio campaign kicked off here on Monday.

According to Executive District Officer Health Dr Shahid Khaleeq, more than 587,000 children of under 5 years age would be administered polio vaccine.

Some 1293 teams have been constituted for this purpose in the district total 1025 mobile teams will visit door to door and 147 fixed teams and 106 mobile teams would administer polio vaccine at hospitals basic health units, rural health centers, general bus stand, railway station and toll plazas while 15 teams will perform duties at markets.

The campaign will continue till December 12.
