ISLAMABAD: Member of the National Assembly Ms Tahmina Daultana has participated in the 30th Asian Parliamentarian's meeting on population and development in Tokyo.
The event was organized by former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, said a message received here from Tokyo.
During the visit the parliamentarians reaffirmed the importance of democracy for development and highlighted that democracy had taken roots in Pakistan.
During the visit, Ms Daultana met numerous parliamentarians, including Member of the House of Councillors (Upper House) Ms Aiko Shimajiri, Chairperson, Committee on Environment, Liberal Democratic Party Senator from Okinawa Prefecture.
