QUETTA: A policeman was killed and another injured in firing in Hazarganji area on outskirts of the provincial capital, here on Wednesday.
According to Police unidentified armed men opened fire at two policemen near Saadat Market, leaving one dead on the spot and another injured.
Two policemen deployed in the Saadat Market Hazarganji area for security when they came under firing by unknown motorcyclist, assailants managed to escape from the scene.
The condition of the injured policeman is out of danger after emergency medical treatment. The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects.
