imageQUETTA: Advisor to Chief Minister Balochistan on Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech escaped bomb attack as a blast took place on Joint Road in the provincial capital, here on Tuesday when his convoy was passing through the area.

Home Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that the convoy of Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech was target of the bomb attack.

Police said that unidentified armed men planted explosive on roadside of Joint road and detonated it with a remote control when the convoy of Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech was passing through the area."The Advisor to Chief Minister on Education remained safe, however, the blast partially damaged a vehicle of the convoy," police said.

Law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area.

Balochistan Chief Minister, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch condemned the attack and sought report on the incident.
