ISLAMABAD: National Consultant of Polio Program Altaf Mohsin said 90 percent polio cases are reported from areas where law and order situation is worsened and parents do not let polio teams to administer polio vaccines to their children.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that effective measures have to be taken for complete eradication of the polio virus.
Responding to a question, Altaf Mohsin said that polio workers are being attacked in different parts of the country including Karachi.
Lauding the polio workers, he said that despite insecurity, they are going home to home to administer polio vaccine to children.
However, he urged for provision of fool-proof security for them.
