Sony PS4 to wipe out XboX One?

Published June 8, 2013 Updated June 8, 2013 09:13am

imageKARACHI: It seems Xbox One, the highly-awaited successor to Microsoft’s Xbox 360, may let its arch-rival Sony’s PS4 win the console battle this time around.

According to the latest reports, some of the Xbox One’s controversial features may tip the scales in Sony’s favor. It has been reported that the Xbox One must connect to the internet once every 24 hours to allow users to play games. According to English media sources, the discs have nothing to do with ownership, and can only be used for installation purposes as all games will now reportedly be licensed.

With expected outrage to follow over the latest ‘controversial specifics’ of the Xbox One, it is assumed Sony’s PS4 may have a competitive advantage if it releases its product at a later date. Sony has been silent about the recent revelations, and it is suspected they are learning from Microsoft’s mistakes. However, if rumors are to be believed the PS4 console will not need to be connected to the internet reportedly the console will also be able to play ‘used’ games.

Though Sony have been super secretive regarding details surrounding the PS4, it is unfair to officially rule out the Xbox One just yet. With all the policies Xbox One has come up with, it leaves Sony PS4 in a unique position. If rumors are to be believed, many of Microsoft’s supporters may flood to a console that provides gaming free of any restrictions.
