ISLAMABAD: Former ambassador to China Masood Khan has said that Pakistan relations with China are very deep and strategic.
Talking to VOA, he said that "I don't think China will establish relations with India at the cost of Pakistan. We should not be worried in this regard."
To a question he maintained that China is a big country and it has relations with India too. It should not be taken in the perspective that damage to India is victory for Pakistan and vice versa.
He said Pakistan has very special and deep rooted relations with China so we should not worry about any understanding or reconciliation between India and China. There will be no negative impacts of Sino-India relation on Pak-China relations, he added.
To a question he said that positive impacts will increase in the region as Pak-China relations will boost further. I don't think that any stressed situation will rise between Pakistan and the West especially with America due to strong Pak-China relations, he added.
Basically China and Pakistan are working for the peace in the region and both countries also want connectivity in the region. So these steps are not only good for the people of both countries but for the international community too.
