ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Tuesday submitted his unconditional apology through his counsel Wasim Sajjad before the Supreme Court against the contempt of court charges framed against him in the Rental Power Projects (RPPs) case.
Wasim Sajjad also requested for granting permission to Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for withdrawal of the letter while presenting un-conditional apology before a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Ashraf stated in his apology that the motive to write the letter was not to manipulate the court's proceeding but to carry out the proceedings under the law and constitution against him.
