Karachi police arrest 39 accused in last 24 hours

imageKARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals, arrested 39 accused during the past 24 hours.

A police statement on Friday said that those arrested included four absconders and two alleged dacoits.

It said that nine weapons of different calibres were also recovered from those arrested.

The police in an encounter in the jurisdiction of Clifton police station, killed an alleged dacoit, the statement added.

Action was initiated against 18 motorcyclists for violating the ban on pillion riding.
