ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take indiscriminate legal action against the owners for misusing the agriculture farms for business purposes.
The apex court also directed the authority to restore all 504 farmhouses to agricultural land within 45 days.
The three-member SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, resumed hearing of the case pertaining to misuse of the agriculture farms in the Federal Capital.
The court ordered the CDA authorities to submit complete allotment record of the farm houses comprising three categories prescribed for the allotments along with progress of legal action taken against the allottees involved in misusing the agriculture farms.
During the course of proceedings, the counsel for the CDA apprised the court that the authority had served notices to all those, who were misusing the agriculture farms.
The court adjourned the hearing for one month.
