ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Najam Sethi on Thursday condemned the kidnapping of Ali Haider Gilani and termed it as a terrorist act.
Talking to a private Television channel, he said that the Punjab government has provided a fool proof security to the former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
After this incident different political parties demanding security, he said adding that provision of security to all candidates was not possible.
He informed that Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had maximum security threats. He said that he had written letters to both leaders to avoid attending public gatherings but they refused.
His government was providing all possible security to the leaders of different political parties even security has been provided to Imran Khan in the hospital.
He said that some elements want to delay elections but they would never succeed in their nefarious designs.
