KARACHI: Veena Malik, popularly known as the Queen of Controversy, has yet again proved there’s no such thing as bad publicity. She came into limelight with her brief stint in Big Boss and is now donning headlines with her sensual photoshoots for her upcoming Bollywood releases.
The actress who has been labeled as ‘bold’ and ‘sizzling’ reportedly finds these depictions unjustified and has cited Bollywood stars Sunny Leone, Poonam Pandey and Rozlyn Khan as examples of people who are perhaps better suited for these labels. While referencing these three particular stars, Veena sought to make a distinction between herself and the former adult movie stars.
The “Drama Queen” has reportedly been trying to decode the matter and fails to understand why she has been classed in the same league as the others. She has allegedly claimed that other A-list actors have gone on to perform in roles that she has been offered.
On one occasion, Veena reportedly came to the conclusion that she was targeted for being Pakistani. After publicly declaring her dismay at the passing of Sarabjit, she claims she received a huge negative backlash over her stance.”I am targeted because I am from Pakistan. My recent comment on Sarabjit’s case led to bad comments by people on social networking sites. I only speak on issues that matter to me. If there is peace between the two countries, I will be happier.”
