Thai rice offered lowest in Iraq

imageHAMBURG: The lowest offer in the tender from Iraq's state grains buyer to purchase a minimum 30,000 tonnes of rice was $539.59 a tonne c&f free out for rice sourced from Thailand, European traders said on Tuesday. The offer was made for 40,000 tonnes.

This was followed by offers of $568.20 a tonne c&f free out for 110,000 tonnes from Thailand and $569.65 a tonne c&f free out for 40,000 tonnes, also from Thailand.

The tender closed on Sunday, Mar. 31, and offers must be valid until Thursday April 4.
