Militants attack police checkpost in Shangla, two cops injured

SHANGLA: Two policemen were injured when Unknown militants attacked a police checkpost at Tehsil Poran in Shangla district in wee hours of Monday.

According to police sources, unidentified assailants equipped with automatic weapons, attacked Kankar security checkpost jointly manned by police and jawans of special force in the wee hours of Monday.

As a result, head constable Abid Ali and another cop of special force sustained critical wounds. The police also retaliated as result of which the outlaws escaped from the scene.

Police shifted the injured to hospital and started investigation.
