SHAHDADKOT: The Pakistan Peoples’ Party-Parliamentarian (PPPP) suffered first serious setback here on Wednesday, when a group of Magsi community decided to field their own candidates against PPPP leader Sardar Mir Nadir Khan Magsi.
A grand Jirga of Aadmani Magsi tribe was held at Village Suhinal Khan attended by tribal elders Mir Manzoor Ahmed Magsi, Ghulam Dastagir Magsi, Ghulam Abbas Magsi, Rais Haroon Magsi and Azizullah Magsi.
Addressing the Jirga, they charged that Nadir Khan Magsi in his whole tenure ignored the Admani Magsi people. They said thousands of votes of Admani Magsi are registered in PS-40 and they always play a decisive role in the win of Nadir Magsi, but this time Admani Magsi would field their own candidate on this seat instead of giving vote to Nadir Magsi.
Local political circles are giving much importance to this Jirga and predicting weakening of the political grip of the PPPP in this constituency, considered a stronghold of the PPPP.
