Ghandhara Nissan resumes operations after Sindh govt approval
- The announcement comes just days after the Government of Sindh announced relaxation in lockdown.
Ghandhara Nissan Limited on Wednesday became the latest automaker in Pakistan to resume its operations.
In a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Ghandhara Nissan informed, “the management of the company according to relaxation/ approval given by the Sindh Government, has decided to resume its operations including the Head Office, factory and other regional offices throughout Pakistan with adequate measures and SOPs advised by the government aimed at preventing the pandemic.”
The announcement comes just days after the Government of Sindh announced relaxation in lockdown. The provincial government has directed to increase the number of business hours, with business activities that will now be allowed in the province five days a week from 6 am to 7 pm.
The Sindh Home Department issued a notification, under which the provincial government has extended working hours for business activities in the province. The lockdown in Sindh has been extended till June 30.
