      <title>China shares lower in morning trade</title>

&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 5.80 points at 2,949.97.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The Shanghai A-share index shed 0.20 percent, or 6.16 points, to 3,088.83, while the Shenzhen A-share index was flat, edging down 0.20 points to 1,323.21.&lt;/p&gt;
