      <title>China shares higher in morning trade</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 7.16 points at 2,965.23.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The Shanghai A-share index added 0.24 percent, or 7.50 points, to 3,104.87, while the Shenzhen A-share index lost 0.03 percent, or 0.46 points, at 1,334.21.&lt;/p&gt;
