      <title>Hong Kong shares end flat</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged down 7.83 points to 23,060.36 on turnover of HK$67.46 billion ($8.65 billion).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Chinese shares closed down 0.87 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 25.93 points at 2,958.08 on turnover of 199.6 billion yuan ($30.3 billion).&lt;/p&gt;

<p class="MsoPlainText">Chinese shares closed down 0.87 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 25.93 points at 2,958.08 on turnover of 199.6 billion yuan ($30.3 billion).</p>
